Chrono Trigger is a role-playing game where you control a party of characters through an epic time-traveling adventure. Your core objective is to prevent the apocalyptic event known as Lavos from destroying the world. Moment-to-moment play involves exploring vibrant environments, engaging in turn-based combat encounters on the same screen, and interacting with NPCs to advance the story. A useful beginner strategy is to experiment with Dual and Triple Techs, which are powerful combination attacks that unlock as your party members build relationships. The challenge rhythm involves solving era-specific puzzles, managing resources, and strategically using Tech Points in battles. In the early game, focus on recruiting key allies and understanding the combat system. During the middle portion, concentrate on completing side quests to gain powerful equipment and experience. In tense boss fights, prioritize healing and exploiting enemy weaknesses with your most effective Techs to secure victory.
