In Pokémon Ruby, players embark on a journey across the Hoenn region to become the Pokémon League Champion. You control a young trainer from a top-down perspective, exploring towns, routes, and dungeons. The core gameplay loop revolves around capturing wild Pokémon using Poké Balls, building a balanced team of up to six creatures, and battling other trainers in turn-based combat.
