Your goal is to pilot the Vic Viper through multiple side-scrolling stages, destroying enemy forces and defeating large bosses at the end of each level. You control your ship's movement in all directions while continuously firing your main weapon. By destroying certain enemy formations, you can collect power-up capsules. Collecting these capsules cycles through an upgrade menu at the bottom of the screen, allowing you to enhance your ship with options (drones that mirror your shots), speed boosts, missiles, lasers, and a protective force field. A key strategy is to carefully time your power-up selections to build a powerful arsenal without getting hit, as a single hit will cause you to lose all your upgrades. Early on, focus on acquiring at least one speed boost and a pair of options to increase your firepower. In tense moments, use the force field to absorb a hit, but remember it is temporary. The challenge rhythm involves memorizing enemy attack patterns and strategically navigating through dense bullet patterns.
