Mega Man 64 is a 3D action-adventure game and a Nintendo 64 port of the PlayStation title Mega Man Legends. Players control Mega Man Volnutt as he explores the mysterious island of Kattelox, battling robotic enemies known as Reaverbots in dungeons to collect energy and uncover ancient secrets.

Your primary goal is to explore the overworld and dive into underground ruins to collect four powerful energy units known as Mother Lodes. You control Mega Man from a third-person perspective, using your arm cannon to blast enemies and a special drill weapon for close-quarters combat. Movement is key; you can run, jump, and even use a jet ski for water traversal. In dungeons, you'll solve environmental puzzles, defeat waves of Reaverbots, and battle large bosses to progress. A lock-on targeting system helps you aim at enemies while staying mobile. Early on, focus on mastering the dodge and jump mechanics to avoid damage. As you progress, manage your health and weapon energy by collecting items from defeated foes. In tense moments, prioritize evading powerful boss attacks and striking when you see an opening.
