The moment-to-moment play involves navigating twisting tracks at high speeds, managing your vehicle's health and weapon energy, and collecting icons that appear on the track to replenish shields or acquire missiles, mines, and other offensive tools. A useful beginner strategy is to focus on learning the track layouts to anticipate sharp turns and obstacles, and to prioritize collecting shield power-ups to survive longer, as opponents will aggressively target you. The challenge rhythm is fast and relentless, with races consisting of multiple laps where you must balance aggressive attacking with defensive driving. In the early part of a race, focus on establishing a clean racing line and building a stockpile of weapons. During the middle laps, use your weapons strategically to take out lead opponents while avoiding hazards.
