Your primary objective is to guide your chosen protagonist, Leon or Claire, through the zombie-infested Raccoon City Police Department and surrounding areas to uncover the truth behind the viral outbreak and ultimately escape. Combat is a core challenge; you must carefully aim your weapons at zombies and other bio-organic weapons (BOWs), often choosing to evade enemies to save ammo for tougher boss fights. A key strategy is thorough exploration to find key items, ink ribbons for saving your progress, and weapon upgrades. The game features a tense, methodical pace where managing your inventory and health is crucial for survival. In the early game, focus on learning the map layout and avoiding unnecessary fights. As you progress, the puzzles become more complex and the enemies more dangerous, requiring smart resource management and quick reflexes during intense encounters.
