In Mega Man Xtreme, you control X through side-scrolling stages filled with enemies, platforms, and hazards. Your primary goal is to defeat the eight Maverick bosses to acquire their special weapons, which are essential for overcoming other bosses' weaknesses. Use X's standard X-Buster to shoot enemies and charge up for more powerful shots. Navigate each stage carefully, jumping over pits and avoiding environmental dangers while collecting health and weapon energy pickups. Each Maverick stage presents unique challenges and requires strategic use of your acquired weapons to defeat the boss efficiently. After clearing the initial eight stages, you'll face a series of fortress levels with tougher enemies and more complex platforming sections leading to the final confrontation. Focus on mastering X's dash ability for mobility and learning enemy patterns to conserve health for the challenging boss fights.
