On defense, you can switch between players and attempt to steal the ball or block shots. A useful beginner strategy is to focus on passing to open teammates rather than forcing difficult shots, and to use character-specific special moves which are often more powerful. The challenge rhythm involves building momentum by scoring consecutively to enter a powered-up state. In the early part of a match, focus on learning the opponent's patterns. During the middle game, exploit weaknesses you've identified. In tense final moments, prioritize high-percentage shots and strong defensive positioning to protect a lead or mount a comeback.
