Your objective is to win basketball matches by outscoring the opposing team within the time limit. Moment-to-moment play involves moving your selected character around the court using the D-pad, passing the ball with the B button, and attempting shots or dunks. On defense, you can switch between players and attempt to steal the ball or block shots. A useful beginner strategy is to focus on passing to open teammates rather than forcing difficult shots, and to use character-specific special moves which are often more powerful. The challenge rhythm involves building momentum by scoring consecutively to enter a powered-up state. In the early part of a match, focus on learning the opponent's patterns. During the middle game, exploit weaknesses you've identified. In tense final moments, prioritize high-percentage shots and strong defensive positioning to protect a lead or mount a comeback.
