Your objective is to defeat a series of Robot Masters in one-on-one combat. Each match takes place on a single screen, and you control Mega Man who can run, jump, and fire his standard buster shot. The core gameplay involves learning each boss's attack patterns and finding the right moment to strike while avoiding their projectiles and special moves. Success relies on quick reflexes and pattern recognition rather than complex combos. A key beginner strategy is to maintain distance to safely observe attacks before moving in to counter. The challenge rhythm is a steady progression through increasingly difficult boss fights, with the ultimate goal being to clear the entire roster. In tense moments, focus on dodging first and only attack when you have a clear opening.
