American Mahjong is a tile-matching game where the objective is to clear the board by removing matching pairs of tiles. The game begins with a pre-arranged layout of tiles, often in a specific pattern like a turtle or dragon. On each turn, you can select any tile that is free (not blocked on either the left or right side) and match it with another identical free tile. The goal is to remove all tiles from the board. Focus on clearing tiles from the top layers first to unlock tiles below, but be careful not to trap tiles by removing their only potential matches early. In tense moments when few tiles remain, scan carefully for newly freed pairs and avoid making moves that could leave isolated tiles with no matches.
