Fatal Fury 2 is a one-on-one fighting game where players select a character and battle opponents in best-of-three matches. Each character has unique special moves performed with directional inputs combined with button presses. The game features a super special move system that requires building up a power gauge through combat. In tense moments, smart use of plane switching and well-timed super moves can turn the tide of battle. The challenge progresses through increasingly difficult opponents, culminating in a final boss battle against Wolfgang Krauser.
