As you progress, you will encounter Sparx levels, which shift the gameplay to a top-down shooter perspective where you control Spyro's dragonfly companion. Pay attention to Sparx's color, as it represents Spyro's health; feed him butterflies spawned from defeated creatures to keep him healthy during tense boss fights and tricky platforming sections.
