Use your flame breath to defeat enemies and melt ice, and use your charge attack to smash obstacles or defeat shielded foes. In the early stages, focus on gathering gems and finding easily accessible fairies to unlock new worlds. As you progress, you will encounter Sparx levels, which shift the gameplay to a top-down shooter perspective where you control Spyro's dragonfly companion. Pay attention to Sparx's color, as it represents Spyro's health; feed him butterflies spawned from defeated creatures to keep him healthy during tense boss fights and tricky platforming sections.
