Star Fox Command is a tactical shooter and action game for the Nintendo DS that combines on-rails and all-range mode combat with strategic route planning on a top-down map. Players control Fox McCloud and other Star Fox team members in aerial dogfights against the Anglar Empire.

Once you engage enemies, the game switches to an action view where you pilot your ship in either on-rails shooting segments or free-roaming all-range mode combat. Use the touch screen for sharp turns and special maneuvers, and tap icons to fire lasers or launch smart bombs. A key strategy is to manage your limited turns on the map efficiently, prioritizing threats and using teammates to cover multiple fronts. In tense moments, focus on evading lock-ons while lining up shots on enemy weak points. The game emphasizes quick reflexes and strategic foresight, with each successful run unlocking new characters and branching story paths.
