The King of Fighters '94 is a 3-on-3 team fighting game. Your objective is to defeat all three members of the opposing team using your own selected trio. Each match consists of a series of one-on-one fights; the winner of a round stays on the field with reduced health while the next opponent enters. You control your character with an eight-direction joystick and four attack buttons for light and strong punches and kicks. The core gameplay involves learning character-specific special moves, which are performed by inputting directional commands combined with an attack button. A key mechanic is the dodge roll, executed by pressing two buttons simultaneously, allowing you to evade attacks and quickly close distance. In the early moments, focus on understanding your character's basic moves and safe poking attacks. As you progress, learn to build meter for super special moves and manage your team order, saving stronger characters for later. During tense moments, careful spacing and anticipating your opponent's actions are crucial for landing decisive combos and securing victory.
