The core objective is to clear each single-player stage by defeating all enemies with your bombs while avoiding their attacks and your own explosions. In multiplayer battle mode, the goal is to be the last Bomberman standing. Moment-to-moment play involves navigating a grid-based arena, placing bombs that explode in a cross-shaped pattern after a short fuse, and collecting power-ups that increase your blast radius, speed, and the number of bombs you can place at once. Useful beginner strategy is to focus on trapping enemies against soft blocks or corners and to always leave yourself an escape route. The challenge rhythm is fast-paced, requiring quick placement and retreat. In the early game, focus on collecting power-ups and learning enemy patterns. In the middle, use your enhanced abilities to control the arena. During tense moments, especially in multiplayer, anticipate opponent movements and use remote-controlled bombs or special items for surprise attacks.
