Your goal in Twisted Metal 4 is to be the last vehicle standing in a series of chaotic arena battles. You control a car equipped with an arsenal of weapons, from machine guns and homing missiles to powerful special attacks unique to each character. The moment-to-moment play involves driving around the map, collecting weapon pickups, and relentlessly attacking your opponents while avoiding their fire and environmental hazards. The challenge rhythm is fast and aggressive, with the action intensifying as the number of remaining competitors dwindles. In the early phase of a match, focus on scavenging for weapons and picking off weaker opponents. During the mid-game, use hit-and-run tactics and your character's special weapon to control the battlefield.
