A useful beginner strategy is to focus on learning a character's basic special moves, such as Terry Bogard's Power Wave or Geese Howard's Reppuken, and practice timing blocks and counters. The challenge rhythm involves reading the opponent's patterns, punishing whiffed attacks, and managing your super meter. In the early moments of a match, focus on poking and building meter. During the middle of the fight, look for opportunities to land a full combo into a super move. In tense final rounds, careful defense and a well-timed super combo can secure victory.
