A key beginner strategy is to build a balanced team that covers each other's weaknesses; for example, pairing a Water-type with an Electric-type can protect against Grass attacks. In the early stages, focus on leveling up your Pokémon in the Gym Leader Castle to earn useful items. During the middle of a tournament run, carefully manage your team's HP and PP between battles using healing items. In tense final matches, pay close attention to your opponent's lineup and try to predict their switches to gain a tactical advantage.
