Your primary goal is to explore vibrant 3D worlds, defeat enemies, and collect a variety of items, with the main objective being to recover all the stolen dragon eggs. You control Spyro, who can run, jump, glide, and breathe fire to attack foes and interact with the environment. As you progress, you'll unlock additional playable characters like Sheila the kangaroo, Sgt. Byrd, and Bentley the yeti, each with unique abilities for accessing new areas. A useful beginner strategy is to thoroughly explore each level, as eggs and gems are often hidden in secret areas or require completing specific challenges. The challenge rhythm involves navigating platforming sections, solving puzzles, and engaging in light combat. In the early game, focus on collecting gems to purchase abilities, while later stages require mastering each character's moveset to overcome more complex obstacles. During tense moments, precise platforming and quick reactions are key to avoiding enemies and environmental hazards.
