Command a party of characters on a grid-based battlefield in turn-based combat. Position your units strategically to take advantage of height differences and elemental affinities. Each character has standard attacks, unique spells, and the ability to transform into powerful Were-forms once the Were-gauge is filled, granting massive stat boosts and devastating special abilities. Focus on balancing physical attacks with magic spells to exploit enemy weaknesses. Keep Sanzo protected, as their defeat results in an immediate game over. Utilize Guardian Summons for powerful field-wide effects, and visit towns between battles to upgrade equipment, purchase items, and recruit new party members to strengthen your pilgrimage.
