A successful shot requires timing the meter's needle to stop precisely on the desired power level and then again in the center for accuracy. The core challenge is mastering this timing under varying course conditions. Early in a round, focus on safe, accurate drives to position yourself for an easier approach shot to the green. The middle of the round involves careful putting, where reading the green's slope is crucial. In tense moments, such as attempting a long putt or a risky shot from a hazard, maintaining composure and precise timing is key to scoring under par.
