How to play
In Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories, your primary objective is to defeat opponents in card duels to progress the story and acquire new cards. The game uses a real-time battle system where you summon monsters by discarding cards from your hand that match the required tributes. Unlike later Yu-Gi-Oh! titles, there is no Main Phase 2, and fusion summoning is a core mechanic performed during battle by combining specific monster cards from your hand and field. You must manage your Star Chips (currency) to buy card packs and improve your deck. As a beginner, focus on building a deck with low-star monsters for quick summons and gradually incorporate high-attack monsters and powerful fusions. The challenge comes from opponents who use strong fused monsters, so learning effective fusion combinations is key to survival. During tense moments, prioritize defending with high-defense monsters and quickly fusing to counter your opponent's threats.
