Langrisser IV is a tactical RPG where you command units on grid-based battlefields. Your main objective is to defeat enemy commanders while protecting your own. Each turn, you move your units across the map and engage in combat. The game features a class change system that allows your main characters to evolve into more powerful classes with different abilities. You'll need to strategically position your troops, considering terrain advantages and unit types like infantry, cavalry, and archers. Early in the game, focus on leveling your main characters and experimenting with different class paths. As battles intensify, manage your commander's magic points for healing and offensive spells. The challenge comes from enemy commanders who also command large armies, requiring careful planning to overcome. In tense moments, protect your healer units and use terrain defensively. The game features multiple story branches based on your decisions, affecting which characters join your army and the ending you receive.
