Wild Arms 2 is a role-playing game where you explore a vast world map, towns, and dungeons from an overhead perspective. Your primary objective is to advance the story by completing quests and defeating enemies. Moment-to-moment play involves navigating environments, interacting with non-player characters to gather information, and engaging in random enemy encounters that switch to a turn-based combat screen. In combat, you control a party of up to three characters, each with unique abilities called Tools and access to powerful Force attacks. A useful beginner strategy is to manage your ARMS ammunition and Force Points carefully, as they are limited resources. The challenge rhythm involves balancing exploration with resource management, solving environmental puzzles in dungeons using character-specific tools, and strategically targeting enemy weaknesses in turn-based battles. In the early game, focus on building your party's levels and acquiring new equipment. During tense boss fights, prioritize healing and using your most powerful Force abilities to turn the tide.
