In Iron Soldier, you control a massive mech from a first-person cockpit view. Your primary objective is to complete mission-based assignments, which involve destroying enemy tanks, aircraft, and installations across large, open battlefields. Movement is handled with the Jaguar keypad: you can walk forward and backward, strafe left and right, and rotate your torso independently from your legs to aim. The game uses a targeting reticle to lock onto enemies, and you have access to a variety of weapons like missiles and a powerful cannon. Early in a mission, focus on scanning the horizon for threats and using buildings or terrain for cover. As you progress, manage your weapon energy and armor carefully, as taking too much damage will end your run. During intense firefights, keep moving to avoid enemy lock-ons and prioritize high-value targets like command centers to advance the mission.
