Your goal is to guide Pitfall Harry Jr. through six perilous levels of jungle and temple environments, avoiding traps and defeating enemies. You run, jump, climb vines, and swing on ropes to navigate the terrain. Use your whip as your primary weapon to attack creatures like snakes, spiders, and tribal warriors. You can also find and use secondary weapons like boomerangs and spears for ranged attacks. Collect gems and gold bars to earn extra lives and points. The game requires precise platforming and quick reflexes to dodge pitfalls, rolling boulders, and collapsing platforms. In the early stages, focus on learning the timing of your jumps and attacks. As you progress, watch for environmental clues and patterns to anticipate dangers. During tense moments, carefully manage your health and use your special weapons strategically against tougher bosses.
