Your goal is to guide Mario through eight themed worlds, each with multiple platforming levels, to defeat Bowser's children and rescue the princess. You run and jump to avoid enemies, break blocks for coins and power-ups, and navigate obstacles. The main power-ups include the Super Mushroom to grow larger, the Fire Flower to shoot fireballs, the Super Leaf to fly with a raccoon tail, and the rare Frog Suit for better swimming. Each world ends in a fortress or airship boss battle against a Koopaling, requiring pattern recognition and precise jumps. In the early game, focus on collecting coins for extra lives and finding Toad Houses for helpful items. Later, master the flight mechanics with the Super Leaf to access secret areas and warp whistles to skip worlds. During tense moments, use your power-ups strategically to survive tricky enemy placements and platforming challenges.
