The moment-to-moment play revolves around navigating interconnected locations, triggering story events, and fighting enemies in a battle system where characters learn new abilities through repeated use. A useful beginner strategy is to focus on sparking new skills in battle rather than grinding for levels, as character progression is based on weapon types and techniques used. In the early game, focus on building a balanced party and understanding the Glimmer system for learning skills. During the middle phase, tackle larger dungeons and side quests to strengthen your team.
