Alundra is an action-adventure game where you explore a village and surrounding areas from an overhead perspective. Your primary objective is to enter the dreams of troubled villagers to battle monsters and solve intricate puzzles that block your progress. Combat involves using your sword to attack enemies and various tools like bombs and a fire wand to defeat foes and interact with the environment. The game features Zelda-like dungeon crawling with rooms filled with enemies, switches, and block-pushing puzzles. As you progress, you'll acquire new items that grant access to previously unreachable areas, encouraging backtracking and exploration. The challenge comes from both combat encounters and the often difficult environmental puzzles that require careful observation and timing. Focus on mastering the dodge-roll maneuver early to avoid damage, and pay close attention to environmental clues in dream sequences. In tense moments, prioritize eliminating ranged enemies first while using the terrain to your advantage.
