Your goal is to guide Duke Nukem through various time periods, eliminating alien threats and completing mission objectives. You control Duke from a third-person perspective, using the analog stick to move and the C buttons to aim your weapon. Combat is the core of the gameplay; you'll use a variety of firearms like the shotgun and pistol to defeat enemies, and you can also pilot vehicles such as a horse or a tank in certain levels. Health and armor pickups are essential for survival. Explore each environment thoroughly to find key items, secret areas, and ammunition. In the early stages, focus on learning the controls and mastering the lock-on targeting system. As you progress, the levels become more complex, requiring you to solve simple puzzles and navigate hazardous terrain. During tense combat situations, use cover effectively and prioritize stronger enemies to manage your health.
