As you progress, use the process of elimination to cross-reference rows and columns, carefully marking squares to avoid contradictions. In tense moments when you're stuck, double-check your X marks and look for rows where the possible positions for blocks are limited by the existing filled squares and X's. The game is a test of patience and logical reasoning, not speed, so take your time to analyze the clues.
