In Myst, your objective is to explore the mysterious island and solve environmental puzzles to progress through the story. The game is played from a first-person perspective using a point-and-click interface. You'll navigate by clicking on arrows to move between pre-rendered scenes, examining objects closely by clicking on them, and manipulating mechanisms to unlock new areas. The core gameplay involves careful observation, logical thinking, and note-taking as you discover clues scattered throughout the world. Early in the game, focus on thoroughly exploring the island's main areas and understanding the basic mechanics of interaction. As you progress, you'll encounter linking books that transport you to different Ages (worlds), each with its own unique puzzles and themes. The challenge comes from deciphering the relationships between different puzzle elements and understanding the backstory through journals and environmental storytelling. During tense moments, pay close attention to audio cues and visual details that might provide crucial hints for solving complex multi-step puzzles.
