Control Mario or Luigi as you journey through eight distinct worlds to rescue Princess Peach and restore the kings turned into animals by Bowser's Koopalings. Run, jump, and stomp on classic enemies like Goombas and Koopa Troopas. Collect iconic power-ups such as the Super Mushroom to grow, the Fire Flower to throw fireballs, and the Super Leaf to gain a Tanooki tail, which allows you to glide and fly after building up your running speed meter. Navigate a board-game-style world map where you can access levels, visit Toad Houses for bonus items, and play mini-games for extra lives. Utilize the inventory screen on the map to equip power-ups before entering a stage. In tense moments, manage your momentum carefully, slide down slopes to defeat enemies, and carry Koopa shells to break blocks and reveal hidden secrets.
