You must carefully observe enemy patrol patterns, time your movements during their backs are turned, and use tools like grappling hooks, smoke bombs, and caltrops to create opportunities or escape danger. A key beginner strategy is to prioritize staying out of sight and using the 'Tenchu' (divine sound) meter, which indicates how much noise you are making; crouch-walking and avoiding noisy surfaces is essential. The challenge rhythm is tense and methodical, requiring patience as you plan your route and strike only when the moment is perfect. In the early part of a mission, focus on scouting the area and memorizing guard routes. In the middle, execute your plan to isolate and eliminate key targets. During tense moments when you are spotted, either dispatch the enemy quickly before they alert others or use a smoke bomb to break line of sight and hide.
