Each turn represents one year, and you must carefully manage your treasury, set tax rates, fund public works, and appoint officials. You will receive reports on the state of your empire, including agricultural output, popular sentiment, and potential threats from rivals or natural disasters. Pay close attention to the happiness of your people and the loyalty of your ministers, as neglecting these can lead to rebellion and the end of your reign. A key strategy is to balance your budget; overtaxing can cause unrest, while underfunding the military or granaries can leave you vulnerable. In the early game, focus on building a stable economic base and appointing competent, loyal advisors. As your reign progresses, you will face more complex challenges like invasions, plagues, and court intrigues. During tense moments, such as a military conflict or a famine, prioritize immediate survival by reallocating funds and making decisive choices from the events presented to you. The game ends when your dynasty falls, so your overarching objective is to achieve a long and successful rule.
