Your objective is to pilot the Raiden fighter through multiple stages, destroying waves of enemy aircraft, tanks, and bosses while avoiding their fire. You begin with a weak vulcan cannon, but collecting red 'M' icons increases your firepower, while blue 'L' icons switch you to a powerful laser and green icons upgrade your homing or spread missiles. A smart beginner strategy is to focus on surviving the early stages to build a strong weapon set, as losing a life resets your firepower. The challenge rhythm is intense, with screen-filling bullet patterns from mid-bosses and end-level bosses requiring memorization of attack sequences. In tense moments, use your screen-clearing smart bomb wisely to escape tight situations.
