In Sonic the Hedgehog for the Master System, your goal is to guide Sonic through six vibrant zones, each with multiple acts, to defeat the evil Dr. Robotnik. You control Sonic's movement with the directional pad, making him run, jump, and spin dash to defeat enemies and navigate obstacles. Collect rings scattered throughout the levels to protect yourself; if you get hit without any rings, you lose a life. Focus on building momentum to traverse loops and slopes quickly, and search for hidden areas containing power-ups and extra lives. In later stages, timing becomes critical as you face more complex platforming challenges and tougher boss battles.
