Darkstone is played from an isometric perspective where you control a single character through mouse clicks or controller inputs. Your primary objective is to explore various dungeons, towns, and wilderness areas while completing quests, battling monsters, and gathering loot. You'll need to manage your health and mana, use potions strategically, and equip better weapons and armor as you progress. The game features real-time combat where timing your attacks and spells is crucial for survival. As you defeat enemies, you'll gain experience points to level up your character and improve attributes like strength, dexterity, and magic. Early in the game, focus on learning the controls and mastering basic combat against weaker enemies.
